The Best Robata Selection and Next-Level Sushi
With skewered exotic seafood and fresh vegetables from the robata grill, the freshest sushi, and scrumptious shareable platters, OTORO’s menu is full of crowd-pleasing dishes.

The Menu at OTORO Restaurant in the Mirage
The Starters at OTORO include delectable seafood plates and much-loved appetizers perfect for enjoying while you peruse the rest of the menu.
The marinated sirloin, called The Rock, is a house specialty. It is prepared tableside, drawing you into the action, and makes an excellent start to any meal.
They also offer various crudo and tempura dishes, Oysters on the Half-Shell, Sweet & Sour Calamari, and everyone’s favorite, pan-fried pork Gyoza dumplings.
Soup and Salad
In the Soup & Salad section of the menu, you’ll find traditional Japanese options like Seaweed Salad, Cucumber Salad, Edamame, and Miso Soup.
You’ll also find a Kale Salad and a Field Greens Salad. These plates are great as lighter appetizers, complement sushi selections wonderfully, and also make a great transition between your first bites and entrees.
OTORO’s robata selections are nothing short of impressive, and their obvious skill in implementing the Japanese grilling technique is exceptional. As a result, I strongly recommend choosing a couple of robata dishes to share at the table.
This part of the menu is divided into three easy-to-navigate categories: Seafood, Meat & Poultry, and Vegetables.
In the Meat & Poultry portion, you’ll find two house specialties, the Pork Belly with Japanese BBQ sauce and the Wagyu Steak prepared with heirloom tomatoes and an aromatic truffle relish.
If you are in the mood for seafood, try the Hokkaido Scallop served with bacon and a complex sweet-chili mint sauce that is to die for.
Or, for some out-of-this-world vegetables, I suggest the Asparagus with expertly roasted macadamia nuts. The Marinated Vegetables are also fantastic and give you a bit more variety than other options.
Nigiri – Sashimi
Nigiri and sashimi dishes make premium, thinly sliced fish and various types of seafood the star of the plate. Bursting with bright, fresh flavors, these offerings will satisfy all your seafood cravings.
It may seem a bit obvious because of the name, but the OTORO, made with bluefin tuna belly, is a house specialty. The top-quality filet basically melts in your mouth, yum!
Considering their use of the freshest ingredients, you really can’t go wrong with these plates.
Sushi Rolls – Hand Rolls
The Sushi and Hand Rolls at OTORO include familiar favorites like a California roll and a Philadelphia roll.
They also have a couple of delicious options for vegetarians that meat-eaters will also love, like the Tempura Sweet Potato.
Or, for a kick, try the Spicy Tuna or the Spicy Yellowtail rolls.
OTORO’s most unique and inspired rolls are found in the Specialty Rolls section of the menu. Even if you weren’t planning on ordering sushi, these creations will make you want to reconsider.
For example, the Surf & Turf with spicy crab mix, salmon, and seared sirloin brings you bite-sized portions of a sumptuous dish you won’t want to miss.
The Dragon Roll, made with crab mix, cucumber, eel, and avocado, also combines smooth and crisp textures for the perfect blend of mouthwatering flavors and consistencies.
The entrees at OTORO include prime cuts of meat, poultry, and seafood paired with delicious flavors, veggies, and sauces.
As a result, several of the menu’s most popular dishes reside in this part of the menu, the first of which is the Signature Cast Iron. It consists of a 10 oz wagyu striploin cooked to your liking, a trio of sauces, and a side dish. While the steak is perfectly flavored and cooked, the sauces also add a wealth of drool-worthy flavors.
Another one of the house specialties is the Surf and Turf, which comes with a dry-aged prime ribeye cured for 40 days, tiger shrimp, a side of your choosing, and a trio of tasty sauces.
The Chicken Katsu with panko breading, truffle rice, and a fried egg is another stand-out selection.
OTORO also offers a collection of side dishes to help round out your meal.
For vegetables, choose between Asparagus, Steamed Broccolini, or Miso Potato Puree.
