It hosts an Open Mic Night on Wednesdays, occasional live music acts, and other social events, too. 

My favorite is the lively Upside Down Tea party on Sundays from noon to 4 PM, where they serve sweet and savory snacks and boozy teapots.

The cocktail menu at The Shag Room features exquisite libations ranging from classic to inventive. Whether you want something new or prefer to savor a classic beer, the bar has you covered.

Expert mixologists create inspired, eye-catching drinks with complex flavors you’re sure to love. Libations are made using fresh, seasonal ingredients and homemade garnishes. 

They also serve rare beers, whiskey flights, and more. 

Oak & Ivy’s trendy spot is tucked inside Container Park, so you’ll probably want to plan for some extra time to explore when you visit. It also has a spacious patio, perfect for enjoying warm days.

In addition to the main bar, there is a discrete alley entrance for Mike Morey’s Sip ‘n’ Tip, their newest incarnation. 

At D.C.R., you’ll enjoy a creative cocktail menu that focuses on classic and original cocktails suitable for every taste. 

If you can, I recommend visiting during their amazing happy hour. It runs from 5 to 8 PM Tuesday through Saturday and offers half-price well and call drinks and a range of other specials. 

No matter when you come, expect something new and exciting every time.

Downtown – Mob Museum

To gain access, you’ll need to locate the side door and give them a password, which changes weekly and can be found on their website. 

Once inside, you’ll be immersed in Prohibition-style glamor and nostalgia. The space features artifacts from the 1920s, weekly live music, and a regal ambiance. 

The bar at The Underground serves iconic cocktails from the Roaring Twenties, tasting flights, beers, and wine. It also offers shareable plates and desserts. 

In the distillery, you can peek at how moonshine is made while learning about American bootleggers.

Velveteen Rabbit

The cocktails at Golden Tiki are delicious tropical renditions of punches and tasty rum drinks, many of which contain exotic ingredients and bold, fruity flavors. 

I recommend trying a Tiki Flight so you can sample several things. If you’re hungry, you can also enjoy its menu of delicious shared plates, salads, and more.

To gain access to the parlor, ask your cashier about “tonight’s delight,” and they’ll lead the way. 

Aside from an enjoyable selection of tequila and mezcal, Mas Por Favor’s bar offers inventive cocktails, margaritas on tap, tasty shots, and more. 

It also features a range of specials, including a daily Happy Hour, Taco Tuesday, and Ladies Night on Thursdays.

Whether you come for food, music, or drinks, The Sand Dollar Lounge won’t let you down. In addition to their location on Spring Mountain Rd., they also have a spot Downtown.

Herbs & Rye

It combines three distinct experiences, a bar, speakeasy, and supper club, into one place for endless amounts of fun. It even has a patio with beautiful views. 

Gambit’s artisanal speakeasy is the ideal place for anyone who loves mezcal and tequila. The main bar, The Bank, mixes up hand-crafted cocktails and has a good selection of beers and wines, too. 

The supper club, Gatsby’s, hosts live music nightly and serves delicious food.
