The Menu at Red Plate Restaurant in the Cosmopolitan

Red Plate Restaurant Menu – Cosmopolitan Las Vegas

Delightful Beginnings

Red Plate’s menu is full of unmissable dishes, starting with the King Crab Spring Roll. It is perfectly wrapped with sliced avocado and comes with a spicy aioli sauce that expertly ties the entire plate together.

Another stand-out appetizer is the Fried Soft Shell Crab with Salt and Pepper. Or, if you want to sample more than one, the Chef’s Traditional Trio has you covered.

Soups and Broths

Hot and savory, the soups and broths at Red Plate make great appetizers. They prepare classics like Hot and Sour and also serve inspired renditions like Sweet Corn and Foie Gras.

Red Plate is also known for its delicious Chinese hot pot, perfect for sharing with friends. However, if you want to partake, it must be ordered 24 hours in advance.

Evening Dim Sum

Red plate also makes delicious handmade dim sum to complete their appetizer offerings.

One of their most eye-catching, signature dishes is the Caviar Taro Puff. It is lightly fried and topped with rich Ossetra caviar and gold leaf.

The Black Truffle Xiao Lung Bao, a traditional Chinese soup dumpling, is another house favorite.

Congee, Rice, and Noodles

For something hearty and filling, I recommend selecting one of Red Plate’s congee, rice, or noodle dishes to share at the table.

The noodle soups make an excellent choice, but my favorite is the Spicy Singapore Rice Noodle with BBQ Pork and Shrimp.

If you prefer something milder, the Chinese Clay Pot Rice pairs excellently with meatier entrees. Just keep in mind that it requires pre-ordering 24 hours in advance.

Selection of Chinese Style BBQ & Roasted Indulgences

The epitome of decadence is in Red Plate’s Chinese BBQ and Roasted Indulgence offerings.

Both the Whole Suckling Pig and Whole Peking Duck are perfect for sharing with groups.

The duck, a house specialty, is carved and assembled tableside, allowing you to watch as the crispy, lightly textured skin practically melts off the bone.

These two dishes must also be pre-ordered, but it’s well worth the foresight.

Meat

In addition to the roasted meats above, Red Plate offers an array of scrumptious meat entrees made with premium ingredients.

One of the most popular is the Braised Sparerib in Sweet and Sour Sauce. It is taken off the bone, braised, amazingly reconstructed, topped with whiskey, and served tableside.

You’ll also find classic meat dishes like Kung Pao Chicken and Mongolian Beef in this portion of the menu.

Vegetables

The vegetable dishes at Red Plate aren’t your typical greens. They are expertly stir-fried or braised and prepared with the perfect amount of complementary flavors.

My top recommendation is the Szechuan Spicy Tofu with Beef.

If you neglected to pre-order the clay pot rice, the Seasonal Vegetables in Clay Pot with Vermicelli make an excellent second choice.

Many of these dishes can be ordered vegetarian if they’re not already.

Seafood

Red Plate features an extensive seafood menu broken down into several sections.

This first portion contains scrumptious dishes and uses premium seafood to ensure optimal flavor.

The Stir Fried Lobster with Lemongrass and Thai Sauce is another house specialty you won’t want to miss. Its simple yet effective blend of flavors is mouth-wateringly rich and delicious.

The Pan Fried Scallop and Spicy Dungeness Crab also make outstanding choices.

Abalone and Dried Seafood

This menu section offers elevated flavors and unique, inspired dishes like Braised Whole Abalone and Braised Sea Cucumber with Fish Maw.

Abalone is highly regarded as a culinary delicacy, and Red Plate will show you why.

Another excellent pick is the Buddha Jumps over the Wall Soup, but it requires ordering at least six hours in advance.

Live Seafood

While you may not be on the coast, Red Plate’s live seafood tanks ensure you can still get some of the freshest seafood possible.

Their tanks are stocked with various types of fish like Coral Cod and Turbot, Geoduck, Dungeness Crab, Large Spotted Prawn, and both Maine and Australian Lobster.

The Alaskan King Crab is considered a house specialty. It is steamed or deep fried fresh to order, and lightly seasoned with salt and pepper.

Sweet Endings

Red Plate’s desserts are anything but ordinary. From Coconut Ginger Tapioca to Cold Almond Tofu, their inspired sweet treats hit the spot.

My favorite is the Yuzu Mango Mousse and Black Sesame Cake.

If you’re feeling particularly decadent, the Double Boiled Bird’s Nest Soup with Sweet Almond Soup provides a truly unique and delicious finish to your meal.

Cocktails

At Red Plate, you’ll find the perfect drink to complement any occasion.

They offer an extensive wine list with selections from around the world, a collection of distinct specialty cocktails, and an array of premium teas complete with tableside tea service.

Each of their cocktails uses premium spirits and fresh ingredients.

The most popular, The Golden Lotus, is a gin cocktail with lychee, apple rose water, ginger, and a blended yuzu and blooming jasmine flower tea.
